I'm happy to report that the Johns Hopkins University Press will be publishing my book Reading Herodotus: A Guided Tour through the Wild Boars, Dancing Suitors, and Crazy Tyrants of The History. It should be out in the fall of 2012.

I haven't finished Don't Call Me a Crook yet, but I needed a bit of a fiction break, so started Ridley Pearson's latest. And it is good! I forced myself to go to bed at 1:00 AM rather than stay up and finish the last 100 pages.

Melissa, meanwhile, is reading Junie B. Jones, Cheater Pants. The dinosaur is illiterate, but likes to look at the pictures.
