Wild boars, coming to a bookstore near you!

I'm happy to report that the Johns Hopkins University Press will be publishing my book Reading Herodotus: A Guided Tour through the Wild Boars, Dancing Suitors, and Crazy Tyrants of The History. It should be out in the fall of 2012.

TwitterLit and KidderLit now on Identi.ca

TwitterLit and KidderLit are now available for subscription on Identi.ca, which is, like Twitter, a microblogging platform. To subscribe, just follow the appropriate link:

TwitterLit
TwitterLit UK
TwitterLit CA
KidderLit

I'm a big fan of Twitter, but there are other microblogging services out there. Cross-posting to Identi.ca has become possible because Twitterfeed is now supporting posting from RSS to both Twitter and Identi.ca. If Twitterfeed ever expands to other microblogging platforms, further expansion may be possible.

1.

So glad to see you over on Identi.ca.

You're the first "Users to Follow" entry on my new blog, "Oh, Identi.ca!"

Thanks so much for the mention, Marina! I appreciate it.

The whole microblogging world is in such flux it's confusing. I feel like we're all waiting to see who comes out on top. I confess that Identi.ca has a very nice interface, but I feel such an allegiance to Twitter....
