Wild boars, coming to a bookstore near you! I'm happy to report that the Johns Hopkins University Press will be publishing my book Reading Herodotus: A Guided Tour through the Wild Boars, Dancing Suitors, and Crazy Tyrants of The History. It should be out in the fall of 2012. |

I am fairly certain that this was one of those, "if I drop the host and I can't pick it up before 5 seconds, do I still have to eat it?" questions. I am willing to bet that some people make their living by sitting around and thinking of absurd situations and then make religious rulings about them. Don't think it is true? You aren't familiar with the Hasidic Jews then?
