    Smug TV

Okay, I'm taking up Kimmy's challenge over at The Smug Cloud. Apparently, Empire Magazine has a list of the "50 Greatest TV Shows" ever. The list is below, and Kimmy's rules are:

    1. Bold the shows of which you've watched every episode
    2. Italicize the shows of which you've seen at least one episode
2a. Star * the shows you consider "the best"
    3. Post your answers

Man, who are these people? Family Guy gets on the list and I Love Lucy doesn't? Er, The Mary Tyler Moore show? Dick Van Dyke? Bob Newhart? Carol Burnett? M*A*S*H? Hello?

Well, here are my favorite shows of all time, which may or may not be the best in some defensible way. No particular order, and I'm probably forgetting some. Certainly there are shows I've really liked that I'm not listing here as favorites (St. Elsewhere, Arrested Development, The Simpsons, Rawhide, Fawlty Towers, etc. etc.):

    The Carol Burnett Show
    Columbo
    24
    Seinfeld
    Buffy the Vampire Slayer
