Wild boars, coming to a bookstore near you!

I'm happy to report that the Johns Hopkins University Press will be publishing my book Reading Herodotus: A Guided Tour through the Wild Boars, Dancing Suitors, and Crazy Tyrants of The History. It should be out in the fall of 2012.

I'm all a-Twitter about @DailyPuzzles!

Update May 30, 2008: Eh, we're not doing this anymore. It didn't work out well. Now I just Twitter my score via my normal Twitter account, @debra_hamel.

In order to simplify my life I've decided to dispense with my daily puzzle posts. That way the blog won't be clogged up with daily posts that are probably of interest to only a few of my regular readers.

Picture 11However, I'm excited to announce my creation of the Twitter site @DailyPuzzles, a group Twitter account (created via the amazing GroupTweet) where anyone who's interested can report on their daily puzzle scores--the Set Puzzle, the Daily Secret Word Puzzle, the Daily Scrambled Word Game, and any other puzzles or games of interest. Conversation needn't be limited to score reports, either. Feel free to discuss the puzzles (without spoilers) with other participants in the group.

It's easy to do. Here's how:

1. If you don't already have one (and you should), set up a Twitter account.

2. Follow @DailyPuzzles. DailyPuzzles will follow you back.

3. Once you receive notification that you're being followed back, you can report your scores, etc., by sending a direct message to DailyPuzzles. Via GroupTweet, your message will be disseminated as a regular tweet to everyone who's following @DailyPuzzles.

Simple!
