Sunday Salon: Zig Zag and new members

The Sunday Salon.comClick for information about The Sunday Salon.

Currently reading: José Carlos Somoza, Zig Zag
Pages read: 58 | total for day: 58
Time spent reading: 60 minutes | total for day: 60 minutes

Comments: Still reading Zig Zag, which I started for last week's Salon. It's not really living up to its promise, I'm afraid. But I'm so close to the end that I'd rather save my thoughts about it for a proper review over on book-blog.com. Which I'll write probably in the next day or two.

As of this writing there are 29 members of the Sunday Salon. We've welcomed several new members this week alone, including Wendy of Caribousmom, who just joined us moments ago, in fact. I do hope everyone's enjoying themselves.

It's such a drag when a book doesn't quite meet up to your expectations. I hope you are able to finish it quickly and move onto something more worth-while.

And a congrats on all the new members. Sunday Salon sure is moving up!

2.

Thanks, Amber! It's nice that we've got so many now, because inevitably people won't be able to participate every time. But with more members we'll have a critical mass of bloggers capable of sustaining things.

Or something like that.

Tired. But I hope to finish this book soon!

Yes, the book I'm reading is turning out to be rather worse than a dud, one of those books that has been written to preach (and I do mean preach) a message. I'll try and finish it just in case I'm wrong, but......

Ann: surely not the Stella Gibbons book?

5.

Thanks for the welcome - I *am* enjoying myself :)
