Thoughts: Well, a quick trip to the grocery store for dinner supplies turned into a much larger issue, since I discovered I had a flat tire. So, I had to wait for the AAA guy to come, and he changed it, and then I went and got air in the spare, and then I went to the grocery store, and then I made dinner and ate dinner and now, at long last, I'm back.
I've managed to read one more chapter of my book. Each chapter tells the story of some incident in Nancy's post-teenage-sleuthing life. This one involved an event in 1959. I didn't like it as much as previous chapters because...well, it's far-fetched, of course, but that's okay. But we discover that the CIA has a a sort of spy-kids arm, in fact inspired by Nancy herself, the Top-secret Education Espionage Network. This turn of events doesn't sit well with me because, well, teen sleuths should really be independent operators, I think. Plus, Nancy becomes a little disillusioned, because she winds up not approving of what the CIA has its teen operators doing. "'If the CIA ever needs help tracking down a lost locket, give me a call. Otherwise I never want to hear from you again,'" she says defiantly. That's one miffed Nancy.
