Wild boars, coming to a bookstore near you!

I'm happy to report that the Johns Hopkins University Press will be publishing my book Reading Herodotus: A Guided Tour through the Wild Boars, Dancing Suitors, and Crazy Tyrants of The History. It should be out in the fall of 2012.

Down the rabbit hole at Amazon

Cruising around the site just now, I fell into a kind of alternate reality Amazon.com. I was looking at someone's reviewing history, all very innocent. Behold the product I stumbled on.

Now, this is really reasonably priced. It lists for $37.50, but Amazon's selling it for $22.51. For a two-pack, so that's really good. And I get a commission off of every sale, remember!

I don't get it... what's the significance of a book by Lisa harper?

2.

Aargh! I'm an idiot. Hold on....

3.

Okay, try that link again, Tom.

4.

That was a bit different than the earlier link. All I have to say is, too bad your birthday isn't until October.

5.

Thanks for the thought, Tom! Though Maxine has sent word off-list of something more interesting: http://dilbertblog.typepad.com/the_dilbert_blog/2007/02/tap_the_robot.html

Wow - and it's an even better deal if you buy it with the Nipple Bulbs. What is a Nipple Bulb anyway?

7.

Nipple bulbs? You plant them in the fall and you get a garden full of lovely nipples in the Spring!

8.

Well, they're undoubtedly beautifully designed but I'm not sure I would like to wear them. I just think they might be a bit painful, that's all.

9.

No pain no gain, Bill. I mean, if fashion doesn't matter enough to you....

I say this having worn sweat pants every day for the last...well, some years now.

10.

I don't know....it's interesting....
