Secret passageways of doom
Bookshelves of Doom has posted another wonderful girl sleuth review, of Nancy Drew Mystery Stories #5: The Secret of Shadow Ranch. Leila's copy of the book is inscribed, and I find the inscription rather pathetic: what miserable wretch of a daughter cast off this prize?

Right? I have a hard enough time ditching multiple copies of books, let alone ones that people have taken the time to inscribe. I can't even toss the book that an old boyfriend (who I kind of hate, in a totally immature way) gave me because he took the time to write a message in it!
Bad form, mystery daughter.

Funny, but as soon as I saw the link I ran over to read the review even before I read your blog entry and I had the exact same thought about the inscription. However, I can think of many scenarios where disposing of the book would be acceptable. I just hope that my daughter never disposes of a book I inscribed for her.

The father could have been evil, it's true.
Leila, you must write more such reviews. I adore them.
